On Friday, November 18, 2011, Southland International Trucks, Inc. celebrated its 25th Year Anniversary. Recognizing the extraordinary growth of Southland, Navistar International Chairman, President, and CEO Dan Ustian spoke about the exceptional commitment Southland has made to the State of Alabama over the past 25 years. Over 200 past and present employees were in Homewood and otherdealerships joined via webcast in Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, Huntsville, Decatur, and Montgomery to share this exciting celebration.
Southland International President, Drew Linn, was presented with appreciation awards from Navistar Inc. and Navistar Financial Corporation. In accepting the awards, Mr. Linn acknowledged all employees past and present that have helped pave the way in making Southland International Trucks a world class organization. The commitment to 100% customer satisfaction is the reason why we are here and urged all to commit to extraordinary customer service for the next 25 years! Mr. Linn also announced the opening of the new dealership in Montgomery, discussed the new Huntsville groundbreaking in 2012, and the impact of Navistar’s new manufacturing facility outside of Florence to employ almost 2,200 employees within the next 4 years.
